All That Life Can Afford

Cecila Onono, a political refugee from Uganda in her 70s lives in Alexandra House, with her daughter and grandson. Cecilia suffers from dementia and is awaiting confirmation of her immigration status from the UK Government. Due to bureaucratic anomalies, the Ononos owe over £4,000 to the council in unpaid rent. Pending lengthy appeals with the council, the family is soon to be evicted from Alexandra Court on the grounds that they have made themselves intentionally homeless because of these anomalies.
