As of June 2008, Nintendo have worldwide sales of more than 77 million DS consoles, with 212,584 units sold in the UK in a single week in December 2007. The DS is seen as the future of handheld gaming, with much of its success attributed to its use of ?casual games,? games that are simple to pick-up and play but can be very competitive and addictive.
